From Flagstaff to LAX
To start out our trip, we left on the 9pm train from Flagstaff, Arizona to Union Station (LA) California. We had a great send off at the Lumberyard (my favorite restaurant) and I want to give a big thanks to everyone who made it! It really made our day. You all are awesome! After boarding the train we spent nearly 15 minutes finding a seat before we set off. It was dark and surprisingly quiet compared to past trains. Every hour on the hour I woke up to the nearly full moonlight on the countryside whizzing past. I didn't get much sleep but it was a beautiful sight.
We arrived in LA over an hour early and spent the first few hours relaxing next to a fountain. We asked a guy sweeping outside a restaurant what time it opened and when we returned it seemed he had misinformed us. So instead of an expensive breakfast in a restaurant we found a small hole in the wall with awesome tacos and huevos ranchero. Very good. Mexican food is so hard to find in Asia. We had to get our share.
After killing time around the station Tiffanys' Uncle Robbie picked us up and took us to the airport. We were planning on taking a shuttle so he really helped us out. Thanks Robbie!!
As i'm writing this we are at the airport just chilling waiting to check in. We can't check in until 7 so i have just a few more hours to download some movies for the flight.
My next post will be once we are in Cambodia. See you on the other side!
