Detailed Look at the Core of the Milky Way
This is the current work in progress of my detailed panorama of the Milky Way, but zoomed in at the center. All of this can be viewed after around 1am in the South Eastern sky. (from northern latitudes)
This is a stack of 5 images per tile and there are approx. 5 tiles in this crop (this is just the center of a much larger 30,000 pixel wide panorama)
Each tile/stack = 4.2 minutes exposure
Captured on an unmodified Canon 6D dslr
40mm
f3.2
ISO 1600
4.2 minute exposure per tile
I am still writing my guide to capturing and processing the night sky which will will be finished later this year.
