"Summer and the San Francisco Peaks"
"Summer and the San Francisco Peaks"
Captured almost directly north of the San Francisco Peaks, this is looking due south in the late summer. This time of year in the northern hemisphere the galactic core of our home galaxy has transitioned from mostly horizontal on the eastern horizon to mostly vertical on the southern horizon. As the months progress, each night the core becomes more tilted west and by late October is gone before the sun has set. It continues to rotate over the winter and once again in February can be seen horizontal on the eastern horizon just before sunrise. Various satellites can be seen in this image.
Currently available as a 30x30 archival paper print.
For all paper prints:
Slight differences in color may apply as the web image may not show the full color space of the printed image.
This print will arrive either in a tube or flat packed depending on size.
